Sergio Lavandero González Award
The Faculty of Chemical and Pharmaceutical Sciences announced the creation of the Sergio Lavandero González Award to honor our National Award 2022. The best student of the five doctoral programs of our faculty will be worthy of this recognition.
The winner will receive a diploma and funding to participate in an international scientific congress relevant to his or her specialty. The student will be chosen by a jury made up of the dean, vice dean, the academic director, the director of the graduate school and Professor Lavandero.
During the ceremony, the dean and vice dean signed the administrative act approving the award, which contains the regulations of the award.
“Any instance that serves to encourage the work of new researchers is valuable. I think it is interesting that the award is oriented to allow them to attend a congress, since participation in this type of instance pushes them and gives them the opportunity to have connections with other researchers at an international level,” said the prorector, Prof. Alejandra Mizala Salces.
“I was surprised by the creation of this award that bears my name. The most important thing is that it serves so that other young people can develop. Going abroad opens doors and worlds,” reflects Professor Sergio Lavandero.
