History
Since 2013, the Advanced Center for Chronic Diseases has been established (ACCDiS ) as part of a national programme to boost research in priority areas. This initiative brings together scientists(as), experts(as) epidemiology, public health, clinical medicine, biomedicine and biology, who conduct transdisciplinary research and collaborate in the training of advanced human resources in chronic diseases.
After 10 years in operation, ACCDiS is recognized by the Chilean society as a high-profile research center for the study of cancer and cardiovascular disease, allowing scientific experts to participate in the formation of public health policies, issues of national interest and dissemination of science in the Chilean community.
