COPLAS 2018: 1st Conference of Latin American Population Cohorts for the study of Chronic Diseases the birth of the Consortium

The Advanced Center for Chronic Diseases (ACCDiS), and its MAUCO Cohort, organized the “I Conference of Latin American Population Cohorts for the study of Chronic Diseases (COPLAS)”. This scientific meeting had 62 researchers responsible for 18 different cohorts in Latin America together with representatives of international research centers who were convened from Wednesday 4 to Friday 6 April at the Termas de Quinamávida, Maule Region, Chile.

In this way, the organizers of COPLAS expressed their commitment to maintaining and strengthening the collaborative work started at this meeting. Defining that the second conference would be held in Peru, in 2020 under the coordination of researchers from the Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia.
