Overview:
Moderate exercise has been considered for a long time an essential element to maintain cardiovascular health, on the other hand the sedentary behaviour in the general population has been associated with a significant increase in mortality from cardiovascular disease. However, a growing group of people carried out intense exercise that leads to multiple Adaptive changes of the heart that are collectively called ‘ heart of the athlete ’. This secondary to repetitive exercise and strenuous process of cardiac remodeling in some predisposed athletes produces intense changes and long-term meaning is not clear. In this presentation we will see evidence of changes in atrial function and biomarkers in highly trained athletes.
