Santiago vibrated this Saturday with a new Science Festival

From 10 am to 6 pm:30, this Saturday, October 8, the Explora Regional Associative Project of the Northern Metropolitan Region of the Ministry of Science, Technology, Knowledge and innovation, held its fourth edition of the Science Festival at the La Moneda Cultural Center, reaching a participation of more than 4000 people.
To give started the Dr. Mario Chiong, director of Explora RM Norte greeted the attendees and highlighted the importance of this type of activities, which allow us to bring science closer to the whole community. "This year the main theme of the Festival is about one of the main concerns of the world., the climate crisis".
The inauguration was also attended by the National Prize for Natural Sciences 2022, Dr. Sergio Lavandero, Director of the Center for advanced chronic diseases (ACCDIS) and Vice President of the Chilean Academy of Sciences. "It is extremely gratifying to share with so much young promise and to see future and future researchers who will be the relay generation.. For this enthusiasm, is that we need to invest in science, technology, knowledge, innovation and art education", Said.
Activities for all ages

Fernando Salazar is a 37-year-old adult, who also thanked the instance "it is important that children understand the world around us, many times the new generations are immersed in technology and do not pay attention to the details of everyday life". On the other hand, highlighted the closeness with which the institutions explained the topics related to the sciences, technology, knowledge and innovation. "Many times scientists, are seen as strange and unattainable people and these kinds of activities, show that they are human like everyone else and motivates that all children who want to be researchers can do it".
Until tomorrow, October 9, Explora RM Norte will celebrate science
Within the framework of the activities organized by Explora RM Norte, until tomorrow will be available the Urban Intervention "Caring for the planet", is to take care of your health", located at Los Libertadores Intermodal Station (Metro Los Libertadores Line 3).
This intervention aims to, present some of the effects of climate change on people's health, in order to commit and join forces to take care of our planet.
