The Faculty of Chemical and Pharmaceutical Sciences of the University of Chile, through the Ring Science and Technology Research Project, invites students to participate in the public competition to provide a part-time postdoctoral position.

The postdoctoral position is aimed at Chilean (to) or foreign (to), to conduct research under the ACT192144 Ring Project "Novel drugs and drug delivery systems for the treatment of hypertension" established at the Center of New Drugs for Hypertension (CENDHY), led by academics from the University of Chile and Pontifical Catholic University under the PIA/ANID convention.

The postdoctoral position is for a researcher(to) part-time to work on the design of candidate peptide management systems, developing mass spectroscopy analytical methodologies (associated with HPLC) quantifying these agents in samples of biological fluids, and all this using BPL guidelines with a translational science goal. The candidate must have Spanish and English proficiency, and have the availability to start work from May 1, 2020.

Monthly allowance: $942,800 Chilean pesos, Gross (considers half-time, 22 hours a week, and equates to maintenance expenses + health coverage). The method of payment will be through a fee agreement with the University of Chile.

Duration: Postdoctoral position will be granted for a period of 12 months. The annual renewal will be subject to prior approval by the Director of the Ring Project, Dr. Javier O. Morales Montecinos.

Place of performance: The workplace will be the Faculty of Chemical and Pharmaceutical Sciences of the University of Chile, in the city of Santiago. Them (as) Postdoctorants must be willing to stay at the other Chilean universities participating in the project (Pontifical Catholic University of Chile and Universidad Andrés Bello), to participate in monitoring the experimental development of research within the framework of the project, as well as outreach activities to academic and non-academic audiences.
