Peace Cook, collaborator of the Advanced Center for chronic diseases (ACCDiS ) and research from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, is carrying out a six-week stay in the National Health Institute in Maryland, United States.

During this period, This institution taught the course "Principles and Practice in Cancer Prevention Control" What, in the words of the researcher "it is perfectly structured. Encompasses the promotion of healthy behaviors and the prevention of cancer, to palliative care. Much of the course focuses on screening and early detection of cancers more prevalent around the world, describing and delving into different strategies".

Students attending the course, they are researchers and professionals from more than 30 countries of the world, "what creates the perfect setting to understand the magnitude of the problem in different continents, the measures being taken to win the battle against cancer in each, and of course, to create connections and generate a rich network of researchers all over the world who continue to work together in this challenge", ended Cook.
