History
Since 2013, the Advanced Chronic Diseases Center (ACCDIS) was established as part of a national program to enhance research in priority areas. This initiative brings together scientists, experts in epidemiology, public health, clinical medicine, biomedicine and biology, who carry out transdisciplinary research and collaborate in the formation of advanced human resources in chronic diseases.
After 10 years in operation, ACCDIS is recognized by Chilean society as a high profile research center for the study of cancer and cardiovascular diseases, allowing the participation of scientific experts in the training of public health policies, issues of national interest and dissemination of science in the Chilean community.
