MAUCO celebrates beginning of the month of the heart with the community of Molina

Last 1 of August 2018, starting the month of the heart, team MAUCO He participated in activities of prevention and information of diseases cardiovaculares for the population of Molina, in the Maule region.

In the town of Molina, Maule, with the aim of promoting the prevention of cardiovascular disease in the community, the professionals at the Hospital Santa Rosa de Molina next to MAUCO they conducted an informative activity, with regard to the beginning of August, heart month. This space counted with the presence of Sr. Nilton Palacios, Director of the Santa Rosa Hospital de Molina, Councilman Sergio Campos, along with nurses, midwives and nutritionists from the Hospital, and on behalf of MAUCO technologist doctor Fernando Herrera and technique in nursing level top Loreto Ponce

The attendees gathered in the Municipal Gymnasium of Molina to visit healthy stands where were promoted actions to prevent such as taking blood pressure, measurement of weight and height together with information about healthy habits. The space closed with a sporting activity of dance entertaining with the participation of professionals in the area of health at the Hospital Santa Rosa De Molina.

Also at the request of the Director of the Hospital was held the Conference "Metabolic syndrome" dictated by Dra. Andrea Huidobro, MAUCO epidemiologist, training the doctors in this condition of high prevalence and important metabolic and cardiovascular risk factor; in the prevention, the diagnosis and treatment of a resistance to insulin.
