Expert of the Covid Advisory Council: “We shouldn't celebrate Christmas and New Year with large groups”

The epidemiologist Catterina Ferreccio, member of the Covid-19 Advisory Board of the Minsal, recommended chileans not to spend the New Year's Eve festivities with large groups of people, and also to “Hold” to travel on the coming summer holidays, still in the midst of the pandemic.
El Ministerio de Salud anunció hoy su plan for Christmas and New Year, establishing confined open or enclosed spaces, de hasta 30 personas según la fase de cada comuna en el plan “Paso a paso”.
“Yo pienso que we shouldn't celebrate this Christmas and New Year with big groups, less with older adults -no deberían recibir visitas-“, said the expert on What's Left of the Day, precisando que el aforo a considerar “depende del espacio y de la ventilación” del lugar.
In this context, enfatizó que “at least all older adults are going to have to stay at home and celebrar solo con la gente que ha estado en su burbuja todo este tiempo, con la que ha estado en contacto y representa un riesgo menor”.
