For five days in November Explore RM North, invites you to celebrate curiosity and be part of the Science Festival (FECI) Ministry of Science, Technology, Knowledge and innovation. Everyone and everyone can participate in the workshops, Exhibitions, virtual and conversational tours. Activities are free and aimed at all types of audiences.

November 11-15, Explora's Northern Metropolitan Region Regional Partnership Project, Ministry of Science, Technology, Knowledge and innovation, is led by the University of Chile through the Faculty of Chemical and Pharmaceutical Sciences and its executing unit is the Advanced Center for Chronic Diseases (ACCDiS ) will hold the Science Festival, for the first time in online format.

The Science Festival (FECI) it's a public celebration, free and national, that invites everyone to come closer, appropriate and enjoy the themes and phenomena of Science, Technology, Knowledge and innovation (CTCI).

Within the framework of FECI "We celebrate curiosity", Explore NORTH RM, invites the whole community to be part of fun activities, where they'll get to know, Learn, marvel at and value the world around us.

The activities will be in the participation of various institutions and universities in the country, including: University of Chile, Bernardo O'Higgins University, Central University of Chile, Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, St. Thomas University, CIRENYS, Chilean Astronomy Foundation, ARPA Sciences, INTA, Ciae, Universidad de Valparaíso, CIBQA, Ingenious, Microworld, Millennium of Astrophysics MAS, ACCDiS , Renata Foundation, Imo ,Development University, IMII, CIGIDEN, Capes, Panificable Foundation, AstroColón, CEDEUS, Ideo Maker, Bioquimica.cl, IDEAL Center, Ibio, and many more.

In addition, Mario Hamuy will be present, 2015 National Prize for Exact Sciences, recognized scientists who will lead the conversation "Equally Wise": Maria Cecilia Hidalgo, President of the Academy of Sciences, 2006 National Science Award and Academic and Researcher UCH/BNI, Maitetxu Larraechea, Executive Director of Ingenious; Veronica Undurraga Scholer, researcher and teacher INSTITUTE of History PUC and Valentina Parra, Fac teacher. Explore RM North celebrates science all over the place and for the first time will feature a live online TV show, Called "CyberEureka" which will be broadcast on your social media on Saturday, November 14 between 10 a.m.:00-14:00 HRS. In addition, for five days it will also be possible to carry out "A Journey through Matter" through EurekAPP, an app with augmented reality images, where users will be able to know and discover that the world around us responds to the various organizational states of the subject matter.

  • Explorador@s of the Microworld, is the result of a microscopic photography contest, organized by Explora RM Norte previously, inviting you to explore the beauty of the microworld, through ten images captured by researchers, belonging to various universities and research centres in the country.
  • Urban Woodland, is an exhibition that will show twelve amazing benefits of urban trees for cities and their inhabitants. At the same time, will present the main species of urban trees in Chile. To finish, you will enjoy an entertaining virtual tour of the "Tibet Garden" of O'Higgins Park.
  • Did you know that...? From Magellan to Antarctica: curious questions for surprising answers, this exhibition is an adaptation of the book of the Center for Dynamic Research of Marine Ecosystems of High Latitudes (Ideal), University of Chile (UACh). In this exhibition visitors will discover from how thousands of years ago both territories were united, how the parasites that inhabit these areas are key pieces in marine biodiversity.
