Sergio Lavandero recently visited the Wuhan University, located in china of Hubei Province, and one of the entities that makes up the network for international collaboration of the Centre for advanced chronic diseases (ACCDiS ).

On the occasion, the director of ACCDiS was accompanied by researchers from the Division of Cardiology of University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Dallas, Texas, EE. UU, including its director, Dr. Joseph a.. Hill, Thomas G Gillette and Dan Tong and Gabriele Schiattarella cardiologists, along with those who carried out the work titled "Nitrosative stress drives heart failure with preserved ejection fraction", recently published in Nature.

The researchers visited the Institute of Model Animals (IMA) Wuhan to discuss collaborations between ACCDiS, Wuhan University and the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, In addition to participating in the 5th Wuham International Conference on Liver & Cardiovascular Diseases (WICCS2019), where presented his research on cardiovascular diseases.
