We begin the call for this great initiative that invites men and women dedicated to the creation of knowledge, to leave their fields of action of your working life, to go virtually to the educational establishments and kindergartens of the northern area of the RM.

To face the current situation in our country and give continuity to an activity as emblematic as it was "1000 científic@s 1000 classrooms", our Explore Northern Metropolitan Region Project, Ministry of Science, executed by the University of Chile through the Faculty of Chemical and Pharmaceutical Sciences and its executing unit ACCDiS, transform the classic format of face-to-face talks into educational establishments, to a remote chat format, in which researchers and disseminators of the natural sciences, Exact, social, in art and humanities and technology development specialists, will be able to participate during this period of health crisis, This new initiative is called Open Science Breaking down the frontiers of knowledge!

The aim of the initiative is to strengthen the link between researchers and society, through meetings in playful and participatory formats, promoting socialization and appropriation of knowledge.

when? The talks can be held between the months of June to December.

how?

  • Researchers and disseminators must complete the form for the creation of their talk. Then, is will be available for educational establishments to book.

The talks will be held virtually in educational establishments of the 17 communes that make up the PAR Explora RM Norte: Lo Barnechea, Ñuñoa, Providence, Pudahuel, Quilicura, Recoleta, Renca, Santiago, Tiltil, Vitacura, Hill, Conchalí, Huechuraba, Independencia, The Queen, Lampa and Las Condes.
