Open call for Postdoctoral Students 2020

ACCDiS is a Research Center in Priority Areas of Conicyt's FONDAP Initiative, comptinaians from the University of Chile and the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile. It aims to understand and prevent chronic noncommunicable diseases, with particular emphasis on the study of cancer and cardiovascular disease.

One of the main missions of ACCDiS is to contribute to the training of new researchers with a vocation to country problems in the area of health. To this end, a new background competition is convened for three postdoctoral positions aimed at young people with a recent doctorate degree in the disciplines of health sciences and who have an interest in developing research between two or more of the following priority research lines of the centre:

• Study of mechanisms responsible for the genesis and development of heart failure
• Biomarkers and gender differences in the development of heart failure
• Tumor cell biology and inflammation
• Epigenomics in gastric cancer
• Natural history of digestive cancers
• Nanomedicine and medical chemistry for the diagnosis and therapy of cancer and cardiovascular disease

The postdoctoral position lasts for the year with an additional extension of one year subject to evaluation. All those selected must apply to the POSTdoctoral FONDECYT competition. The start of these positions is projected from April 1, 2020.
